Qualifications:
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been providing psychotherapy services in Chicago for 20 years. I completed my doctoral training at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1997. I have a minor in Health Psychology, with an emphasis on the mind-body connection. I am dedicated to continued training and education through workshops and advanced certification programs. I engage in ongoing consultation in the treatment approach of modern psychoanalysis which provides a rich environment to further hone my assessment and therapeutic technique.
Experience – Clinical:
I recognize and respect the unique qualities of every client and strive to provide an environment that supports personal growth and self exploration. My approach tends to be collaborative as clients engage in a process of self discovery and personal growth. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to work with clients as they reach toward change in their lives.
Experience – Corporate:
In addition to my clinical training, I also have considerable experience working in the corporate environment prior to returning to graduate school. Additionally, I draw on time spent as a consulting psychologist conducting leadership assessments in a variety of organizational environments. I believe these varied experiences enhance my ability to work with clients on many issues related to career satisfaction.
Therapeutic Style:
Although I will tailor my treatment to your individual needs, I frequently rely on psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral techniques in my treatment approach. I work collaboratively with clients to design goals for change that fully respect the individual needs and comfort level of each client.
