I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist for 15 years. In this role, I have helped numerous people as they strive to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and mood instability. We also address broad issues such as relationship problems, stress, loss, or adjustment to difficult life experiences or crises. In addition to working with clients in my private practice, I also draw on a background in the corporate field. This includes time spent working as a consulting psychologist in the area of leadership assessment and development. These varied experiences have been extremely helpful in addressing the often layered concerns that relate to life balance, stress management, and meeting the demands of organizational settings.
Although I draw on many treatment modalities to help you create desired change in your life, I rely most heavily on psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral techniques. This simply means that we will spend some time getting to know your past experience as it relates to current concerns as well as addressing self-limiting thoughts, beliefs, or behaviors. Many clients also comment that the time taken to know and understand their emotions is of great value and extremely helpful in communicating more effectively in relationships.
